Meriwether Publishing Ltd. was founded in 1967 in Chicago, Illinois, by television writer-producer Arthur L. Zapel.

The company relocated headquarters to Colorado Springs, Colorado, in 1983.

The founder of the family-owned corporation is now Chairman of the Board. The President is his eldest son, A. Mark Zapel, and the Vice President is Arthur’s second son, Theodore O. Zapel.

Meriwether Publishing books are sold as "how-to" books for acting students, professional performers and aspiring theatre professionals, in the fields of acting for stage, television or film. A large number of the Meriwether theatre arts books are used as textbooks or supplemental texts for acting and dramatic classes in middle grades through college. Over time many of the teachers Carrie Heller was working with requested that she photographed the manual. As a result, this book has come to be. This invaluable title explores the Trapeze, Spanish Web, and Rings as this has been Carries' specialty over the years.
Carrie Heller, M.S.W. is a Professional Trapeze Artist and a licensed clinical worker. In 1993 she founded the popular Atlanta Circus Camp and in 2006 the Circus Art Institute. At the Circus Art Institute, Carrie teaches Circus Arts Fitness and Circus Arts Therapy. She is an experienced lecturer on topics related to therapy and circus.
